The White Lion Inn -Patterdale

Visitors and local people
have enjoyed the hospitality of the White Lion since the early 1800s. Many
a tale could be told of events that have taken place in all its lifetime,
including the time when Wordsworth was in our very bar as news arrived that
Nelson had died at Trafalgar.
Time has, inevitably, changed the White Lion a little, but we believe only for the better. What has firmly stayed intact is the character and atmosphere of this historic country inn. Ideal for walking, fishing and sailing. Friendly atmosphere, traditional beers, cosy en suite bedrooms, beautiful country scenery.
A number of our customers come in for a casual drink and end up staying overnight - often longer. You have a choice of seven bedrooms, five en suite bedrooms, all with colour TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Breakfast is quite a social gathering. Our
rates are £36 per person per night
From
12 noon to 9pm, all year round, you can enjoy the most delicious food Our
bar menu offers a huge choice, from sandwiches to a hearty
